What I Wore Wednesday

I love mixing highs and lows.   In fact one of my  favorite pass times is sifting through racks...going in and out of stores or aisles searching for treasures.   No, no, no, no...yikes!....YES!!!!!
Today I am wearing a shirt by Rory Beca  with a cream tank from TJ Maxx.  I got the shirt  at Sam's Closet.  I actually didn't even know about this store until recently but LOVE it...it is downtown on 72 Wentworth Street.  They carry a lot of interesting lines that are easy to wear but have a hip edge.   This shop is DEF now on my downtown rotation.  LOVE!

Now onto the jeans.  I read about these jeans late summer in Nylon magazine and have been STALKING the internet for their release.  I even went so far as to contact Habitual themselves.  The rep was incredible...confirmed how amazing they indeed were and gave me the release date and I purchased them that day....
They look like a pair of leather jeans (super on trend right now)  but are actually coated jeggings.  I have to say they are probably the most COMFORTABLE pair of jeans I own...  I sometimes go up a size on skinny jeans as I do have a "booty"..but wish I did not on these.  I would buy your normal or smaller size.  They have a lot of stretch.
I know these will be in my wardrobe for seasons to come. Timeless.
I got them in chocolate but they come in different finishes.

My jewelry (bracelets)  are from a street vendor in NYC...and the tear drop shaped earrings are from II Brunettes.  I got them like 2 years ago and even though I own a jewelry company I still love them and find myself wearing them a great deal.  In fact, besides Miss Priss (HELLO!!!) II Brunettes is one of my favorite places to find interesting pieces to add to my collection.  Leslie and Sarah Leigh have a great eye and really go out of their way to hit a big look for a great price-point.

What an amazing experience to work with such a talented designer- Emily Papugo from Suite 33...the stunning Jennifer Blencowe and have it all captured under the talented eye of Robyn Leigh.
It was almost a "pulp fiction-ish" creative shot to the heart.  Such a high!

What I Wore Wednesday

There is NOTHING I love more than a day of poking around King Street in downtown Charleston with a cup of Coffee. Almost makes you want to pinch yourself. Happy Sigh.

Today I was wearing one of my favorite tops...a black silk sleeveless shirt with gold buttons on the shoulder from Parker that I bought at II Brunettes this spring . LOVE LOVE LOVE
I paired it with one of the hottest trend this fall...colored denim.
I have never owned a pair of red jeans before and was unsure about it...but I have to admit that I felt pretty ROCKSTAR in them!
These are DL1961 and I got them at Style Exchange. They are amazing as they DO NOT stretch out but still have a little give so they hug your body in all the right ways.
My KILLER boots are DV by Dolce Vita. I feel like I "stole" these from Style Exchange. They were 75% off...so i only paid $56. CRAZY!
(Def check out the clearence rack in there...Alan likes to move things quickly and often things are on sale way before the season is over.)

My fringe bag was another find from TJMaxx. I coveted bags just like this on line...but can't swing the $500 plus price tags. I paid $200 for this one but have to admit had some cheaper looking hardware...very brass and a small handle. No worries. Took it to Alex's shoe repair by Whole Foods and he replaced the flimsy handle and put on gold hardware. Cost to me $75.
Now the bag is PERFECT and I am literely stopped on the street by people wondering where they can purchase a bag just like it.
Sometimes all an item needs is a little tweak!

Jewelry is Miss Priss... :) (of course)
